The Rise of Indie Animations

Indie Animations have skyrocketed in popularity over the past few years especially with shows like The Amazing Digital Circus, Lackadaisy,Murder Drones and many more that I haven't mentioned.

You may ask on how Indie Animations gained so much popularity compared to big budget shows with over 100M+ in budget and the answer is unclear and so today we will try to explain and(hopefully) give you the bigger picture about the rise of Indie Animations.

On the 14th of October 2023,The Amazing Digital Circus Pilot created by Glitch Production and Gooseworx was released on YouTube and it quickly gained popularity. As of currently writing this,The Amazing Digital Circus has gained almost 400M views on YouTube which is insane. The Amazing Digital Circus is a show about people trapped in a digital world and they go on adventures and maybe lose their sanity here and there. The Amazing Digital Circus was also released on Netflix on the conditions that Glitch Productions have full creative rights on the show and even temporarily became Top 4 TV shows in the USA and top 3 globally on Netflix according to a post by Glitch Productions.

The released of the Amazing Digital Circus caused other Indie Animations to increase in popularity. Although many Indie Animations were released before the released of the Amazing Digital Circus,The Amazing Digital Circus definitely played a factor on introducing new fans.

Indie Animations skyrocketed in popularity due to how much love and soul was put into them. People are now capable of showing off their creative story and characters without being restrained by investors and especially budgets amongst big companies. As of writing this,Murder Drones created by Glitch Productions and directed by Liam Vickers was released on Amazon Prime securing more funding for Glitch Productions shows.

In conclusion,Indie Animations have shown high potential and can potentially inspire new people to show their creativity and world building ideas all without the restraints that big companies are currently facing and presents itself as a much better alternative.
